The Atlanta Braves dropped Tuesday’s spring contest against the Toronto Blue Jays, 7-0. The bats were quiet, with Atlanta recording just six hits. More so than the bats, pitching was a struggle. JR Ritchie made his first start of the spring and went four innings. He gave up two runs on a single hit. He walked four and recorded a couple of strikeouts. José Suarez came in to relieve Ritchie, and in 2.2 innings he was tagged with five runs.
Overall, it was a lackluster day for the Braves, who look to
bounce back this afternoon against the Tampa Bay Rays.
