Bayern Munich easily saw off Werder Bremen 3-0 last week, but Borussia Dortmund went one goal better against Mainz. The top two clubs are currently separated by six points, and both have one more match before playing each other in Der Klassiker at the end of the month.
There is a catch though: Dortmund have to play the second leg of the Champions League play-offs against Atalanta on February 25 so they might be a bit tired by the time they play Bayern. That could be an interesting factor for the top-of-the-league
after that.
Location: Allianz Arena, Munich, Germany
Date: February 21, 2026
Kickoff: 3:30 PM Local time | 9:30 AM EST | 6:30 AM PST

Three things to know about Bayern:
- Bayern won 3-0 in the reverse fixture, with Luis Díaz bagging a brace (one of the goals came after 15 seconds).
- Bayern has a 2.59 PPG (points per game) average this season, more than any other club in Europe’s top five leagues.
- Bayern is currently on 82 goals after 22 Bundesliga matches, already a record, which means they’re on pace to score 126 goals by the end of the season.
Three things to know about Eintracht Frankfurt:
- Frankfurt is winless in seven competitive away matches.
- The Eagles have conceded 28 goals away from home, a league best (or worst). At a rate of 2.6 goals conceded per game, only FC Metz (2.8) has a leakier defence in Europe’s top five leagues.
- Conversely, Frankfurt has the fourth best attack in the league behind Bayern, Borussia Dortmund, and Hoffenheim. Die Adler have also outperformed their expected goals (xG) by 14.6 goals in the league, behind only Bayern.
Prediction
Bayern wins 4-0 with goals from Harry Kane (x2), Luis Díaz, and a header from Hiroki Itō.
