Things were looking a bit shaky for Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC 320 before the Armenian middleweight turned things around and blasted Andre Muniz into another dimension to win at 4:58 of the first round.
After
a feeling out process, Muniz put the pressure on Shahbazyan, catching him flush on the chin and then pressuring him back into the cage with strikes. But Shahbazyan turned things around, hurting Muniz with a big right hand and then pummeling his opponent with ground and pound.
With the seconds ticking down on the clock, it seemed like Muniz might survive. But Shahbazyan shifted from punches to elbows and put his opponent out, forcing the referee to step in.
This is Shahbazyan’s third win in a row and moves him to 9-5 in the UFC. Muniz suffers his second loss in a row and drops to 6-4 with the promotion.
