Syracuse were completely shut down by Allan Winans and the RailRiders for seven innings. Carson Benge hit a two-run homer in the eighth, but it was too little too late for the Mets. Luis Moreno, newly promoted to Triple-A, took the loss for allowing four runs in three innings of work.

ST. LUCIE 8, LAKELAND 4 (BOX)

St. Lucie was the only affiliate to win and it featured two rehabbing Mets: Jesse Winker and Jose Siri. Jesse Winker struck out three times, but Jose Siri went 2-for-2 and drove in a run as part of a three-run eighth that helped seal the deal on the comeback victory. Daviel Hurtado did the bulk of the work on the mound and limited the damage to just one run despite issuing four walks in four innings of work. Daiverson Gutierrez drove in Randy Guzman as the go-ahead run in the fifth and then drove in an insurance run in the seventh as well.
