According to a report from Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is more than willing to sell Sacha Boey this month. Interestingly, it was not just Boey’s
subpar play on the pitch that has Bayern Munich so willing to let him go, but his attitude as well:
Bayern’s position regarding Sacha Boey is clear: the Frenchman is free to leave the club in January, and the club won’t put any obstacles in his way. On the contrary, Bayern are actively seeking a departure. Vincent Kompany was not always happy with Boey’s attitude. On one occasion, the player took too long to get changed before a substitution – Kompany was said to be furious and decided against making the substitution. If a club were to offer €15-20m, Bayern would immediately sell Boey. Crystal Palace are one of the clubs interested.
That is an interesting little nugget regarding Boey taking too much time to get changed and Kompany being annoyed. However, it seems unlikely that any club will put up €15 million to €20 million for a third-stringer, who has failed to make any positive impact in Bavaria.
Perhaps, if things are really that bad, Bayern Munich might eventually view this as addition by subtraction.
