Rumors for the Day:
- Per the Wrestling Observer, the current WrestleMania 42 plan is indeed for Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk for the world heavyweight title. The other main title match will likely be Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu for the WWE championship.
- Fightful Select says Brock Lesnar is indeed slated for SummerSlam this year but that was planned from the start of the year.
- They also say there was no real reaction within WWE to chants for Vince McMahon at Royal Rumble’s post show and there are zero plans for him to come back in any capacity.
- For what it’s worth, Booker T claimed on his podcast that Ava’s exit from WWE as NXT General Manager came as a big surprise.
- Tommaso Ciampa’s departure from WWE was an amicable one, says Fightful, and he was well liked within the company.
- Clark Connors has officially signed with AEW, says Wrestling Observer Live.
