The Syracuse Orange (3-3, 1-2) return from the bye week to welcome a resurgent Pittsburgh Panthers (4-2, 2-1) squad to the JMA Wireless Dome.
Kickoff is at 7:30 and FanDuel has the Panthers as 11-point
favorite in this one with the over/under set at 57.5. Pittsburgh comes in after knocking off Florida State on the road. The switch to Mason Heintschel at quarterback has provided early success to Pat Narduzzi’s squad as they have bounced back from losses to West Virginia and Louisville to beat BC and FSU.
While a lot of Orange fans are focused on the quarterback switch, it’s running back Desmond Reid who should be the one getting more of the attention. Reid had over 200 yards from scrimmage last week and with the Syracuse defense’s struggles, he could be in for another big Saturday.
Syracuse is 3-2-1 against the spread in 2025 and the Orange have lost 8 of the last 10 meetings with the Panthers, including last season’s 41-13 nightmare of a game.
