Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies has had a tough season.
After a long recovery and rehab, Davies made his way back to regular game time before a hamstring issue felled his comeback.
Well, now is the time for “The Comeback II: Electric Boogaloo.”
Sure, you might wonder why we are squeezing in some obscure 80s breakdance movie reference, but just roll with it.
During a public appearance on Thursday, Davies let it slip that he thinks he will be good to go on Tuesday, so he can face Atalanta in the Champions
League.
Davies, of course, made his return to team training on Thursday.
“I’m happy to be back. Obviously I had a setback. But I think I can play against Atalanta,” Davies said (as captured by Abendzeitung’s Kilian Kreitmair via @iMiaSanMia).
Will he be able to complete the full comeback on Tuesday? We’d say there is a better chance of that than the Canadian pulling off a “Windmill” or a “Side Step/Hustle.”
