We’ve passed the second week of Notre Dame football, and it’s time to ask our loyal fans and friends to weigh in on the Irish’s performance so far. The conversation has centered, as expected, around the Irish’s title chances after a close call two years ago and a fizzled follow-up. While there’s certainly facets of Notre Dame’s output
that some may find troubling, this poll is about the good stuff.
So we ask: What facet of the Irish so far most reminds you of those elite playoff teams? Does the push for downfield passing cause problems for Ohio State and LSU? Will the stout run-stuffing defense vex Georgia and Miami? Does the luck of the Irish – namely, their uncanny ability to score points off defensive turnovers – ultimately stymie the likes of Indiana or Texas A&M? Or is it In Marcus We Trust (…all others pay cash…) that is the difference maker when the teams are otherwise evenly matched in the playoff round?
