It’s looking like there won’t be an preseason tours to far away places this summer for Everton. The Blues announced four more opponents earlier today with games against Dundee FC, Bolton Wanderers, Stoke City and VfB Stuttgart added to the schedule.
The Toffees were already set to play against Newcastle in Edinburgh, so it does look like they will be spending quite a bit of time in Scotland and Germany.
Bolton finished fifth in League One but won the playoff to gain promotion back to the Championship
while Stoke finished in 17th out of the 24 teams in the English second tier. Dundee finished in second in the Scottish Premiership Group B to secure their status in the top flight next season.
Stuttgart finished fourth in the Bundesliga and will play in the Champions League next season, and were beaten in the German Cup Final by Bayern Munich.
There will be another away match against a German team, scheduled to be a Men’s and Women’s double-header, as well as a home pre-season fixture at Hill Dickinson Stadium on August 15th, the last weekend before the 26-27 season commences on August 22nd, is yet to be announced.
