Pregame notes
The Washington Mystics have been treading around .500 to start this season, while the Atlanta Dream have had a much stronger start out of the gates. So, naturally, the Mystics are coming into
this one as serious underdogs (with around a 1-in-4 chance, according to ESPN).
On the bright side, the Mystics have had a strong away record to start the season, so maybe they can pull off a real upset here.
For the Dream, Allisha Gray has a start of a season straight out of a dream – over 20 points per night on high usage, and dominating the opposing defenses (though only 43 percent from the field).
For the Mystics, Sonia Citron has had a wonderful start to the season, with over 17 points a game at a very efficient clip (over 52 percent), but still making some rookie-type mistakes and could take better care of the basketball. Citron, however, missed the Mystics’ last game due to a foot injury.
Let’s see how this one goes as the Mystics navigate their fresh new season! Let us know what you think in the comments.
