Josh Emmett vs. Kevin Vallejos squared off in a Featherweight bout earlier tonight (Sat., March 14, 2026) at UFC Vegas 114 inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Early on, Emmett danced along the outside while Vallejos pressed. Vallejos landed first, digging a calf kick and then attacking in combination. Emmett tried to fire back with a high kick and big swing, but Vallejos countered her him heavily and opened a cut. Emmett burst forward with another combination, and a Vallejos’ counter right sat
him down! The young Argentinian swarmed with heavy shots immediately. Emmett hung tough and was able to regain his footing, but Emmett was still badly hurt and stuck along the fence.
One last flurry of punches, elbows and body shots sealed the deal.
What’s there to say here? Vallejos was flawless. From the first bell, he seemed to have a great read on Emmett’s timing, and he waisted no time in committing heavy on his counter fire. Each time Emmett stepped into the pocket, he caught the worst of the exchange. Vallejos’ eyes were really impressive, and the 24-year-old rising star absolutely lived up to the hype.
He’s definitely earned another big step up in competition.
Result: Vallejos defeats Emmett via first-round knockout
