The Denver Broncos slogged their way through an ugly road game today. The defense came alive in the fourth quarter and really powered the team to victory and a 3-2 record. The Seattle Seahawks turned the ball over four times in a home loss to a division rival to fall to 3-2. Both teams need to win next week to keep pace with their respective division leaders.

This is going to be the toughest game the Broncos will have until later in the season. It’s the final game of the brutal six-game start to their schedule too. Back in May I had assumed a 3-3 record was highly possible and that it would be fine if this stretch ended there, but now they have a chance to go 4-2 and that would be huge for their long-term standing in the race for the top of the AFC.
The Seahawks defense poses a real challenge for Bo Nix and the offense. They will need to play perfectly. Meanwhile, the Broncos defense will have to contend with JSN without Pat Surtain’s help. The short week could be both a blessing and curse on both fronts, so we’ll just have to hope for the best and a 4-2 outcome for Denver.
