Recent rumors suggest the plan for Roman Reigns and the world heavyweight championship in the coming months and even year will include matches against the likes of Seth Rollins and Oba Femi at SummerSlam and WrestleMania 43 (pending The Rock’s schedule, of course). That could very well mean defending the title against whomever wins the King of the Ring tournament that just got underway on Monday Night Raw this week. Both Femi and Rollins are in the tourney, with the former advancing to the semifinals
already.
It’s unclear which order WWE will be going with this, and oddsmakers are equally unsure. That’s because both are currently -200 odds, per the Wrestling Observer, to win it all.
The odds for others in the tournament:
- Bron Breakker +200
- Finn Balor +800
- LA Knight +800
- Trick Williams +1200
- Royce Keys +1400
- Je’Von Evans +1600
- Jey Uso +1600
- Dominik Mysterio +2000
- Ricky Saints +2500
- Damian Priest +3000
- Solo Sikoa +4000
If they want to go with Rollins, they could very well set up a Final that includes his taking on Breakker in yet another match in their ongoing feud. It would certainly be a strong selling point for Night of Champions. It would also mean saving Femi, who could be opened up to finally retire Brock Lesnar for good in Minneapolis.
They’ve got options.
Who is your choice?
