Time to add another name to the Philadelphia Eagles’ offensive coordinator search: Denver Broncos offensive pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Davis Webb.
The Eagles, New York Giants, and Baltimore
Ravens have all requested to interview him for their OC openings, according to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.
It doesn’t seem like Webb is realistically available, though?
For starters, he’s still a contender for the Las Vegas Raiders’ head coaching job.
Even if he doesn’t land that position, the Broncos now have an offensive coordinator opening after firing Joe Lombardi. Denver can’t simply promote Webb without first being Rooney Rule compliant. But one would think the Broncos will make a strong effort to keep him.
Webb is drawing interest due to his experience working with Sean Payton and his role in Bo Nix’s development. He previously played quarterback in the NFL from 2017-2022, making his sole career start against the Eagles in the regular season finale of the 2022 season as a member of the Giants.
Even if the Eagles are unable to lure him out of Denver, talking to Webb and picking his brain seems worthwhile.
