Having just stopped the New Orleans Saints on their second drive, the offense of the Seattle Seahawks was set to take the field to try and extend the early 7-0 lead.
However, rookie receiver Tory Horton had other ideas, putting his name in the record books as he fielded a 61-yard punt at the five yard line, patiently followed his blockers and then turned on the burners to finish off the Seahawks first punt return touchdown since Tyler Lockett returned a punt for a touchdown in Week 1 of 2015.
Not only was Horton the first Seattle returner to take a punt the distance the other way, the 95-yard return will go into Seahawks lore as the longest punt return in franchise history.
For those curious, the 95 yards was one yard more than the previous record, which had been held by both Charlie Rogers and Nate Burleson, according to a post on social media by Curtis Crabtree.
And the Seahawks hold an early 14-0 lead.
