Mystery partner alert! TNA utilized that tactic to usher in the return of Trey Miguel from injury.
The setup was Rich Swann and BDE flapping gums at Order 4. Mustafa Ali arranged a six-man tag, but the babyfaces could not select Jason Hotch. Ali is currently embroiled in a wicked feud with Hotch over the TNA International Championship, and they will settle that rematch at the Lockdown PPV.
Swann and BDE had a trick up their sleeve to choose someone who also had beef with Ali. They kept the mystery
man a secret until it was time for their match on Impact (Aug. 13, 2026). Enter Trey Miguel.
The Rascal is a two-time X-Division champion, former tag champ with Zachary Wentz, and more recently a former international champion. Trey lost the international title to Ali, and he split his knee to suffer a broken patella during that match. Trey has been on the injury list for nearly four months.
The action built to a hot tag for Trey running wild on John Skyler and Ali.
Trey even scored the win for his team. Agent Zero muscled Swann and BDE for a double chokeslam. Zero grabbed Trey for the same maneuver. Trey flipped out of the chokeslam. Zero collided into the ring post. Trey executed a sliding DDT outside to Skyler, then he finished the job with the Lightning Spiral slam for victory.
Backstage after the show, Trey thought he would be coming for Ali and the international title. However, Ali lost that belt to Hotch. Without the title, Trey wants Ali’s blood instead. Agent Zero keeps getting in the way, so Trey wants to fight the big man at Lockdown inside a steel cage. Trey closed by shouting the line, “I am not locked in a cage with you, Agent Zero. YOU ARE LOCKED IN A CAGE WITH ME!!!”
