Kentucky Basketball has emerged as a serious contender for international standout Quinn Ellis. According to reports from Alberto Marzagalia and Matteo Andreani, the Wildcats have entered the mix for Ellis, a major talent from overseas.
A 22-year-old guard from Great Britain, Ellis is currently playing for Olimpia Milano in Italy’s top league and the EuroLeague. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound playmaker is averaging 8.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game in Lega Basket Serie A while continuing
to develop against high-level professional competition.
His production doesn’t stop there. Ellis has also shined on the international stage, averaging 17.5 points and 7.0 assists per game for Great Britain in World Cup qualifiers, showcasing his ability to lead an offense and create for teammates. His strong play earned him multiple honors in 2025, including LBA Best Young Player, Italian Cup MVP, and Italian Supercup MVP.
Kentucky is not alone in its pursuit. Duke is currently viewed as a major player, but programs like Florida, Houston, BYU, and others are also in the mix for the talented guard. Ellis has been playing professionally since 2019, giving him valuable experience that could translate immediately to the college game.
Financially, bringing Ellis stateside won’t come cheap. Reports suggest a potential bidding range of around $3 million or more, highlighting the level of competition for his commitment.
If Kentucky can make a strong push, Ellis could become a major addition to the Wildcats’ backcourt and a difference-maker for the upcoming season.
