On Tuesday night, Bayern Munich will face the greatest threat to their unprecedented 15-game winning streak on the road against the defending Champions League winners, Paris Saint-Germain. Both teams are
sitting atop the table in their domestic leagues and will use this to establish their place in the Champions League race.
The last time Bayern tasted defeat was at the hands of PSG in the 2025 Club World Cup. Consequently, PSG was also the last opponent to hold a clean sheet against Bayern. In the Champions League, Bayern has won the last four encounters by an aggregate score of 5-0. The most memorable match between the two clubs was the 2020 Champions League final in Lisbon, where Kingsley Coman scored a title-winning header against his former club.
PSG has also started the season in impressive fashion. The French club has only lost to Marseille on a night where half the team was collecting awards at the Ballon d’Or ceremonies. With three wins and a +10 goal differential, PSG is tied with Bayern for first place in the Champions League group stage table. Technically, PSG owns the tiebreaker with one more goal scored.
Odds: Bayern (+170), Draw (+290), PSG (+135)
Prediction: Bayern wins 3-1. This is the boldest prediction of the season. Bayern will be the underdog for the first time and will respond with a deafening win at the Parc des Princes. Bayern will suffocate PSG and create two goals directly off turnovers in the first half. Luis Díaz will have an elite finish and Harry Kane will score from the penalty spot. PSG will claw back a goal after halftime to create a tense atmosphere before Díaz scores a 1v1 to put the game away.
It’s Bayern time.
