The Arizona Cardinals won their game over the New Orleans Saints, but my buddies over at “The Ringer” were not impressed.
In their weekly power rankings, they have the Cardinals at 22.
From “The Ringer”:
I struggle to gin up excitement for a team when it beat the league’s worst group by a single score, and the way Arizona’s offensive line was tossed around on inside runs doesn’t bode well, given how unimpressive New Orleans’s defensive front is on paper.
Kyler Murray’s connection with receiver Marvin
Harrison Jr. was the brightest spot for the Cardinals offense, and that pair needs to connect on deep throws on a weekly basis to get defenses to back off from the run game.
The Cardinals are not going to get the benefit of the doubt until they start winning games in either convincing fashion or beat good teams.
So, this week, with the Carolina Panthers coming in ranked 30th, they’ll need to show something more impressive if they want to move up some spots.
