Made one really good flying save in the first half, keeping out a dangerous, swerving effort. Was steady the whole game but flapped a little at the goal.
Nordi Mukiele: 8/10
Was dangerous down the right for us today, getting forward to good effect but his best bit of work led to him skying a wild shot when it needed a cross along the six-yard box. Looked good defensively too.
Dan Ballard: 8/10
Typically robust effort from Ballard, throwing himself at everything, blocking shots and winning plenty of challenges.
Omar Alderete: 7/10
Made an important block with
his head in the first half and was solid all game, did another sloppy pass that put us in trouble but then chased down Salah and won the ball back immediately.
Reinildo: 8/10
Had a really good game up against Salah, gave him no room at all throughout and was always nipping at his heels.
Trai Hume (C): 6/10
Had a couple of quick efforts following a penalty appeal by Brobbey in the second half, was a bit loose on the ball throughout though. Did defend well, helping out Mukiele down the right.
Noah Sadiki: 8/10
Another mature performance, sat in front of the defence and didn’t allow Liverpool any room in the middle of the pitch. Read the game well at one point in the first half to get back and steal the ball off Salah in our box.
Enzo Le Fee: 8/10
Put in a huge shift in the middle of the pitch, not only linking up play to try and get us up the pitch but was really good defensively too. Got back after Ballard had been beaten down the line to take the ball off Ekitike’s toe.
Habib Diarra: 6/10
Worked hard out of possession, closing down the visitors but struggled to make an impact on the ball.
Nilson Angulo: 7/10
Took a bit of time to get into the game but he looked more lively as the game went on, at one point he cut inside went past a couple of players and got a shot on target. It wasn’t particularly threatening but seemed to give him confidence going forward and was more direct after that.
Brian Brobbey: 7/10
Battled against Konate and van Dijk by himself all game and gave them a tough game, had a couple of weak penalty appeals after turning Konate and his one effort from a Mukiele cross was brilliantly blocked by Konate.

Chemsdine Talbi: 6/10
Came on down the right but didn’t really get into the game, other than one deep cross that Liverpool easily dealt with.
Romaine Mundle: 6/10
Lively after coming on and tried to make something happen, just couldn’t find the final ball.
Lutsharel Geertruida: 6/10
Looked good when he came on, defended well when the team got a bit ragged and used the ball well too.

A very late change as we chased the game but no time to impress.

Some really good defensive performances tonight but was impressed with Mukiele’s all round effort, defended really well down our right and was a danger to Liverpool all night with his driving runs forward. Put in some dangerous crosses and showed skill at times to make himself a yard of space.
