Anthony Gordon signed for Barcelona ahead of World Cup 2026 in a transfer that raised a few eyebrows but also generated plenty of excitement as the Catalans opted to splash out 80 million euros on the England winger.
The England international has since revealed he’s always dreamed of playing for Barca and has even learned Spanish in the hope of one day playing for the Catalans.
Thierry Henry has said called it a “great move” for both parties, highlighting Gordon’s speed, pressing ability versatility
and eye for goal.
Gordon has since linked up with the England squad for World Cup 2026 and has started both of the Three Lions’ games but hasn’t had too much impact.
The winger was hooked for Marcus Rashford in England’s opening win over Croatia and saw his team-mate go on and score the fourth goal to seal the victory.
Gordon then went on to struggle to make any impact in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Ghana. The winger wasn’t the only England player who found it tough going, but his starting spot in Tuchel’s team may now be in doubt.
So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:
