In storyline, Shayna Baszler arrived to TNA as a favor to Zoey Serrano to break limbs and win gold. That they did by capturing the Knockouts Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory. Out of the storyline, TNA announced that Baszler officially signed a contract.
Baszler revealed the news in an interview from Denise Salcedo. The Queen of Spades
also discussed goals for her legacy. Baszler wants to bring legitimacy to TNA.
Baszler: I think what I want my legacy to be is that; everything about me is real… I don’t even wear fake eyelashes, I don’t put a costume on to get in the ring and beat you up anymore. Everything that I do is just what I am. If I can bring reality and realism, if I can be is the discussion and make TNA be one of the first organizations to be brought up when people go, ‘yeah but whose the most legitimate locker room?’ If because I am there, if I can bring that into the discussion then that’s the legacy I want to leave, is where ever I am is where reality lives.”
TNA has had a busy week inking Baszler, Shotzi Blackheart, and Santino Marella to deals. There are also rumors of coming to terms with X-Division champion Amazing Red.
