It was anything but a smooth training camp.
No. 1-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Featherweight contender Movsar Evloev picked up a controversial majority decision win over Lerone Murphy in the main event of UFC London this past weekend (Sat., March 21, 2026) inside the O2 Arena in London, England — and the victory may be even more impressive than it initially seemed.
That’s because Evloev reportedly broke his nose just four weeks before fight night.
Red Fury MMA shared a photo today showing
the damage — check it out below:
As if that wasn’t enough, Evloev also trained throughout the month of Ramadan while fasting and dealt with last-minute visa issues that nearly jeopardized his ability to even make it to London.
Despite all of that, the undefeated Russian still delivered when it mattered most.
Now 10-0 inside the Octagon, Evloev holds notable wins over Murphy, Aljamain Sterling, Arnold Allen, and Diego Lopes — and appears to have finally secured a long-awaited title shot.
Reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski has already welcomed the matchup.
