Indiana women’s basketball landed its second commitment out of the transfer portal when Jessica Petrie, a forward out of Nebraska.
Petrie, a rising senior, committed to the Hoosiers after visiting the program on Monday. The name should be fresh in Indiana fans’ memories after Petrie’s 10 point, 10 rebound double double performance in a losing effort against Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament.
Petrie was a key piece of the Cornhuskers’ frontcourt in 2025-26, averaging 11.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6
assists while shooting 44.9% from the field and 28.9% from 3-point range in 23.3 minutes per game. She’s been a starter for 23 of Nebraska’s games in each of the past two seasons.
She also joins freshman signee Zoe Jackson as a fellow Australian on the Hoosiers’ roster. Petrie is from the Gold Coast while Jackson is from New South Wales, with both having represented Australia on the international stage.
