UNC’s first game of the NCAA Tournament is this Thursday against VCU, which should be an interesting challenge for the Tar Heels. The Rams are fresh off the heels of winning the A-10 Tournament championship, and look to keep things going in Greenville.
Meanwhile, the Heels are coming off a really disappoint loss against Clemson. While Henri Veesaar tried his best to will them to victory, there ultimately wasn’t enough time on the clock. What’s interesting is that Luka Bogavac was the one that had
a really good game against the Tigers the first time that these two teams played — in the Dean Dome matchup, Bogavac finished with team-high 20 points and drilled six three-pointers. Ever since Caleb Wilson went down, players have taken turns stepping up in order to hopefully earn a victory. But how will that play out in the NCAA Tournament?
Every year we see someone decide to take control of things in the Big Dance. This year is tough in that department, mostly because of some of the inconsistencies across the board. That said, today’s question of the day is: which player do you think will stand out in the NCAA Tournament? Do you think Henri Veesaar will be the guy that takes over things in critical moments? Will Seth Trimble leave it all on the floor? What about Bogavac or Derek Dixon, both of whom have been known to have an impact on any given game in critical moments? Let us know in the comments below.
