Barcelona are once again being linked with a move for Real Sociedad goalkeeper Alex Remiro.
A new report from Mundo Deportivo highlights how Remiro will only have a year left on his contract at the club in the summer and could be snapped up for just €10 million.
Barcelona signed Joan Garcia last summer and he has gone on to become first choice at the club but that apparently won’t stop the Catalans from potentially going for Remiro again.
MD claim ‘sources close’ to Remiro think he could be a good alternative
to Garcia at Barcelona if the Catalans do come calling once again.
Barcelona do have plenty of thinking to do about back-up goalkeepers for next season. Marc-Andre ter Stegen is expected to depart shortly for Girona on loan but remains contracted to the club until 2028.
Wojciech Szczęsny will continue as back-up this season but it remains to be seen if he will stay on. He did pen a two-year contract extension last summer but will turn 36 in April.
Barcelona also still have Inaki Pena (currently on loan at Elche but with a contract until 2029) to consider as well as promising youngsters Diego Kochen and Aron Yaakobishvili.
