The UFC Vancouver main event is officially on.
At Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC Vancouver, headliners Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen successfully made weight for their middleweight clash, with both men making use of the one-pound allowance and coming in at 186 pounds.
De Ridder enters Saturday’s matchup riding a four-fight win streak that has put him on the cusp of a title shot. The former ONE two-division champion was supposed to face Anthony Hernandez in a potential title eliminator bout
at UFC Vancouver, but “Fluffy” withdrew from the bout, and Allen stepped in. “All In” lost to Hernandez earlier this year in a rematch, but rebounded with a decision win over Marvin Vettori in July.
The co-main event bout between Kevin Holland and Mike Malott is also a go, with Holland coming in at 170.5 pounds, while Malott made use of the one-pound allowance and came in at 171 pounds.
The other 22 fighters competing on Saturday also all made weight, seemingly without issue.
UFC Vancouver takes place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, and will air on ESPN+.
