Every year that passes, I like having draft picks more and more. I fully understand that they are all essentially a roll of the dice, but I’d rather have a bunch of chances at improving the team than not. In general, I’m not normally about trading picks mid-season.
I think this is the perfect time and place to let those picks fly. We just went through the wringer of our schedule where we easily could have had 6 losses at this point instead of 6 wins.
This team is trending up, and the offense needs
help. A play-making running back makes way too much sense.
This team legitimately has deep playoff run potential. Shove those chips in the middle on this team this year.
Jonathan Taylor may cost a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Breece Hall may be slightly less. Tony Pollard could sneak into the picture for the Broncos.
Honestly, I don’t care which one. Any of them will help this team finish the season strong.
This doesn’t mean I’m not a believer in Jonah Coleman. I absolutely love Coleman. Right now we’re one injury away from asking Bo Nix to throw 40+ passes a game. I think shoring up the room with an infusion of talent makes way too much.
Most of the fans I interact with are chomping at the bit for a trade. I’d love to hear from you all in the comments whether you’re for or against a trade. Do you value the picks over a veteran back?
