Florida State softball (46-8, 21-3) will face the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets for the second time this season — this time in postseason play as the two teams will square off in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals.
The Yellow Jackets sit at a 30-26, 10-14 record, and did not play a game between their last matchup with FSU, and entering Charlottesville. During first round play, they had a dominating win over No. 8 Notre Dame. In the 13-3, 5 inning contest, Madalyn Johnson went the distance for GT, and six
players collected RBI’s.
FSU is also entering the game with two players who earned ACC accolades. Isa Torres was named conference Player and Defensive Player of the Year, while Jazzy Francik is the Pitcher of the Year. Head coach Lonni Alameda is the ACC Coach of the Year
