Welcome to another Miami Hurricanes College Football Playoff game day everyone!
To continue the CFP journey, Miami travels to Glendale, AZ to take on the 6th seeded 13-1 Ole Miss Rebels in the Vrbo Fiesta
Bowl in the CFP Semifinals. This is the biggest game in a quarter century for Miami, and the biggest game ever for Ole Miss. Both teams find themselves 60 minutes away from playing for a National Championship, so the stakes are as high as they could possibly be.

Fiesta Bowl College Football Playoff injury report by Me
The Wednesday update to the injury report:
- LB Malik Bryant, WR Daylyn Upshaw, and DT Donta Simpson are OUT. I’m wondering why Simpson’s listed, since he’s in the transfer portal and taking visits to Texas and the like. Oh well. Whatever. Doesn’t matter.
- DB Damari Brown, EDGE Cole McConathy II, and DT Ahmad Moten Sr. are all listed as questionable. While all would be valued additions, Moten Sr. has been a starter and key player on Miami’s dominant DL, and Brown has been one of the highest graded coverage players in the secondary when he’s played this year. Their availability would be key for Miami, and more impactful than McConathy II’s, a player with talent and potential but not foundational to the performance of this year’s team.
- CB O.J. Frederique is no longer listed on the injury report. He’ll play.
- Ole Miss Starting DL Kam Franklin (a one-time Miami recruiting target) is listed as questionable.
- Ole Miss starting RB Kewan Lacy and others were listed as probable in the initial injury report, but like Frederique are no longer listed. They’ll play.
And here are your uniforms for the game: Stormtroopers.
Your captains for the playoff Semifinals: DE Rueben Bain Jr, LB Wesley Bissainth, RG Anez Cooper, WR C.J. Daniels, RB Mark Fletcher Jr., RT Francis Mauigoa, DE Akheem Mesidor, Nickel Keionte Scott, and LB Mo Toure.
Miami is 60 minutes of football from playing for a National Championship at home in Hard Rock Stadium. I’m excited, prepared, and ready for the moment. Hopefully the team is, too!
