What is the story about?
Where in the world is Christian Parker?
This is the question that everybody will be asking on Sunday night after the events of this week.
Chronologically, after the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week:
- Monday: The Cowboys announced the hiring of Mike Pettine to join their defensive staff given the poor performance this season
- Tuesday: Jerry Jones went on 105.3 The Fan and said that defensive coordinator Christian Parker will be moving from the sideline to the booth
- Wednesday: Brian Schottenheimer said that things were not decided as to where Parker would be located moving forward
- Thursday: Christian Parker himself said that he will “most likely” be on the sideline.
Obviously Parker’s comments are the latest
in this saga and the fact that it is a saga itself is rather silly.
It is hard to know where the mix-up happened to get to this point. This is clearly a story encircling the Cowboys and will be until Parker’s location is officially known and understood, perhaps it was something where the powers that be weren’t on the same page and then started making public comments.
Whatever the case… it is a story. We will see how it ends.
