Hey, we’re about 10% through Spring Training.
Logan Gilbert makes his first start of the spring. Gilbert is one of the Mariners many tinkerers, and I’ll be watching to see if he debuts any new pitches or pitch shapes this afternoon. It’ll be nice to see him, regardless.
Cole Young and Colt Emerson each return to the lineup. The duo are battling for spots on the Opening Day infield. Emerson is likely battling for the third base spot, however, he is playing shortstop today. Rob Refsnyder is in a Spring
Training lineup for the first time as a Mariner. Not in the lineup (again) is Brendan Donovan, who is still waiting to make his debut.
The Mariners are playing the Dodgers. Here is their lineup for the afternoon:
