Ramazan Kuramagomedov and Shamil Musaev are set to clash at the upcoming PFL event in Dubai on Feb. 7 with the winner being crowned the inaugural PFL welterweight champion.
PFL officials announced the matchup
on Friday.
Karamagomedov enters the fight with a perfect 13-0 record while also serving as the final Bellator welterweight champion after he defeated Jason Jackson in 2024. The Russian has been unstoppable while putting together an impressive resume in recent years before eventually getting his shot at welterweight gold.
He obviously made the most of that opportunity and now he’ll look to add the PFL welterweight title to his growing list of accomplishments when he returns to action in February.
As for Musaev, he also sports an undefeated record at 20-0-1, which includes four straight victories in the PFL. He kicked off his career with a stunning knockout over former interim Bellator welterweight champion Logan Storley and then went onto become the 2024 PFL welterweight tournament champion with a third-round finish over Magomed Umalatov.
Somebody’s ‘O’ has to go when Kuramagomedov and Musaev meet in the inaugural PFL welterweight title fight in the co-main event set for February.
The main event pits PFL lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov against 2025 PFL tournament champion Alfie Davis in a five-round fight at the top of the card.
