Barcelona boss Hansi Flick will be banned from the touchline for Sunday’s Clasico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu after the club’s appeal against his red card failed.
Flick was sent off against
Girona late on in the game but was insisted his actions were not directed at referee Gil Manzano.
Both Deco and Joan Laporta have said they feel Flick was harshly treated, while the club had appealed against the decision.
However, that appeal has failed and Flick will now serve a one-match ban, according to Jijantes.
The Barcelona boss has also conceded he wants to change his behavior for the sake of his family. He told reporters: “I don’t like seeing myself in this state on television, and I don’t want my grandchildren to see their grandfather like that. So I probably have to change my behaviour.”
Flick will be back on the touchline after El Clasico when Barca face Elche at Montjuic.
