-Defense was optional to begin the game. Cleveland got the opening kickoff and marched down the field with a mixture of the running game and short passes. QB Shedeur Sanders finished the drive with a 13-yard touchdown pass to TE Harold Fannin.
-On the other side, the Browns’ run defense could not stop RB James Cook. He ran for 67 yards, including a 44-yard touchdown run to tie things up at 7-7.
-Cleveland was driving again near the end of the quarter, but a pass for RB Quinshon Judkins bounced off of him and was intercepted by S Jordan Poyer.
