Chiefs WR Rashee
Rice files for bankruptcy, claims he owes over $3.45M in debts | ESPN
In the filing, Rice claimed to have $677,054 in personal assets, including $421,825 in “deferred compensation.” The filing claims Rice has $13,640 in his checking accounts. He claims to rent a residence and that he does not own any property.
Rice filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which is for “individuals who have financial difficulty preventing them from paying their debts and who are willing to allow their non-exempt property to be used to pay their creditors,” according to the bankruptcy filing. Rice claimed $39,241 of his personal assets to be nonexempt.
The documents claim Rice’s largest creditor is still owed $979,837 as part of a 2025 civil settlement related to the crash. Rice is disputing potential debts in some of the civil trials, including a combined $700,000 in lawsuits filed by 2024 crash victims and $200,000 as part of the alleged assault suit.
The NFL trade deadline is nearing. Here’s what the Chiefs need to solve | The Kansas City Star
Well, it’s absent again in his absence. A month later, that aforementioned completion in Week 4 against the Raiders remains the most recent time the Chiefs have completed a pass downfield (defined as targeted receiver more than 20 yards beyond the line of scrimmage).
They have played three full games without him. In those games, Mahomes is 0 for 5 when targeting a receiver deep into the secondary.
Chiefs Announce Legend Kendall Gammon As 2026 Salute to Service Award Nominee | The Mothership
Following a 15-year NFL career, Gammon has used his experiences with adversity, mental health challenges and the transition from professional football to connect with veterans navigating similar challenges after military service.
“I am truly honored to be nominated as the Kansas City Chiefs representative for the Salute to Service Award,” Gammon said. “It means so much to have the opportunity to support service members, veterans, and their families who have given so much in service to our country. Connecting with Kansas City’s military community has been incredibly meaningful and has allowed me to stay close to Chiefs Kingdom in a special way.”
Chris Jones Has an Interesting Explanation for Chiefs’ Frustrating Sack Drought | Sports Illustrated
During a media appearance on Wednesday, Jones reiterated why he believes the sacks will eventually come.
“It’s all about perspective from my angle. We’ve got 10 games [left], right?” Jones said. “So, continue to chop wood. This year is an awkward year for all of us. Sacks started off slow, but you’ve got to continue to do what you’ve been doing. Eventually, they’re going to start coming, and when they come, they come in bunches.”
Jets expected to get star RB back for matchup with Chiefs | KCTV5
New York Jets star running back Breece Hall has been sidelined for weeks due to a quad injury.
This week, as his team is poised to come to the Midwest, the Wichita, Kansas, native and Iowa State product is expected to return to action.
Hall practiced in full Thursday and is expected to suit up for Sunday’s game between the 2-6 Jets and 5-2 Kansas City Chiefs.
It would be Hall’s first game since Week 3 of this season.

Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars roll past Ravens. Is Jacksonville now the AFC team to beat? | The Athletic
Are the Jaguars the most complete team in the entire AFC right now?
Yes. The Jaguars check just about every box you would want in a contender. They didn’t capitalize on as many opportunities as they could have against Baltimore, but they still have an offense that’s capable of scoring on big plays and grinding out tough yards.
They have a defense that can get after the quarterback and generate turnovers. Not only do the Jaguars lead the NFL in point margin, they also went into Thursday tied for first with a plus-7 turnover margin.
Vikings to start Carson Wentz vs. Bills on Monday with Kyler Murray battling hamstring injury | NFL.com
Max Brosmer will assume backup duties behind Wentz on Monday, O’Connell added.
The starting lineup swap doesn’t come as a surprise after O’Connell told reporters on Monday that Murray was dealing with a “sore” hamstring following their Week 8 loss to the Detroit Lions.
Murray has had a challenging start to the 2026 season — his first in Minnesota. With Murray behind center for the majority of the season, the Vikings’ offense has struggled mightily, ranking 29th in yards gained per game, 31st in passing and 27th in points scored per contest (20).
Brandon Aiyuk to return to 49ers’ facility Friday afternoon, reportedly discussing forfeiture of $13 million bonus | Yahoo! Sports
In June, Aiyuk continued to publicly ask the team to cut him so he could sign somewhere else, specifically the Washington Commanders. But that wasn’t going to be possible until he was reinstated from the the reserve/left squad, where he landed because he failed to show up for mandatory team activities, including training camp.
In a video, the receiver said that he would never step foot in the 49ers’ facility again; he also claimed that he had fired his agent.
Now, with Rosenhaus leading Aiyuk’s negotiations, the receiver will hope to finally get his new start elsewhere, assuming the 49ers trade or cut him.

Chiefs running back Emmett Johnson voted Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week
He was one of four nominees from Week 8, receiving more votes than Denver Broncos running back Jonah Coleman, Las Vegas Raiders running back Mike Washington Jr. and Los Angeles Rams linebacker Wesley Bailey.
Johnson’s 128 receiving yards were the most by an NFL running back in one game this season (and also the only 100-yard receiving-yard game by any back). He caught five passes and produced 128 yards while running just eight routes. The 73-yard touchdown catch was the longest play by the Chiefs this season.
