There were quite a few standout performers in Bayern Munich’s 3-1 victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League.
Once again, Lennart Karl was among them as he added another goal to his tally, which is steadily
growing. Karl has five goals in two assists in 19 games across all competitions for Bayern Munich this season.
Simply put, the kid is a sensation…and fans are not the only ones noticing.
Bayern Munich midfielder and German national team captain Joshua Kimmich sounds like he thinks Karl needs to be called up by Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann for the next international break.
“Performing well at Bayern Munich is a statement in itself. A regular starter for FC Bayern belongs in the national team,” Kimmich told t-online’s Julian Buhl (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Karl had been starring for the German U-21s, but with his success playing for Bayern Munich, there is no reason to think he cannot be a factor for the Germany national team at the World Cup in 2026.
