Just last month we got AEW original Britt Baker on the record about her nearly year-and-a-half absence from the company, but we didn’t learn too much in the process.
As AEW Revolution was streaming on PPV last night (March 15), a fan watched the returns of Adam Copeland, Christian Cage, and Will Ospreay, then decided to reach out to Baker directly for more information on her status with Tony Khan’s main promotion. The dentist’s answer was sort and sweet, saying the decision on whether or not she’ll
“come home” to AEW is not hers to make:
Baker’s boss has made it clear she’s still under contract to AEW, and says he wants her back. But Tony Khan hasn’t shown any urgency in bringing the former inaugural Women’s Owen Hart Cup winner, and there’s some question about where Britt fits into what is a very different AEW women’s division than the one she was the biggest star of earlier this decade.
It’s dangerous to speculate when we have so little information, but the longer we go with just vague answers from Baker and Khan… the more speculating people are going to do.
