2:45pm – Aznou
Olympique Marseille are interested in Adam Aznou on loan with an option-to-buy.
2.30pm – McNeil
Paul Joyce (and others) reporting Crystal Palace want Dwight McNeil. £20m would be good business for Everton and could give them some financial wriggle room for deals elsewhere. Sean Dyche at Nottingham Forest remains
interested in the winger too, so is the Blues attempting to start a bidding war?
2pm – Norton-Cuffy
Appears Genoa’s Norton-Cuffy is going nowhere, so they won’t be interested in Patterson either.
1:30pm – Hackney
Nottingham Forest have been knocked back in their pursuit of Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney, who Everton are also very interested in, per The Athletic. The 23-year-old reportedly said “Winning promotion with Middlesbrough would mean everything to me,” after scoring the only goal of the game in Boro’s 1-0 win over Norwich City this weekend, putting the Teessiders level on points with former Blues boss Frank Lampard’s Coventry City.
1pm – Iroegbunam
Interesting line buried at the bottom of the Telegraph’s live deadline day blog. Everton rejected a £15m bid from Lazio for midfielder Tim Iroegbunam last week, but would be willing to sell if they returned with a higher offer.
12pm – Patterson
Genoa are targeting Nathan Patterson as a replacement if Brooke Norton-Cuffy ends up leaving. The England Under-21 international has been linked with a number of clubs, including Everton.
11am – George
Confirmation of the medical for Tyrique George.
10am – Wilson
Everton’s approach for Harry Wilson has been rejected by Fulham. The winger is out of contract this summer.
8am GMT – Welcome
Will it just be the addition of Tyrique George today, or can Everton pull off another transfer in little to no time?
Welcome to RBM’s transfer deadline day live blog where we’ll be keeping you posted on all the latest news and rumours on this tracker, with separate detailed pieces as we get more solid confirmations.
What To Expect
Everton have only used up one of their two domestic loan slots with Jack Grealish, but his season looks over now and the Blues do not have an option to cancel his loan either. It looks like the Toffees are using their other loan slot on Chelsea winger Tyrique George, so that should be it for loans from the Premier League. They do have two international loan slots to use as well should they so choose.
Fulback has been an area of need for the Blues for years now, even though David Moyes thinks Adam Aznou is not ready for the English top flight yet, and Jake O’Brien is his preferred choice for all things right back related. Will the Blues make a move today for one or the other?
There has been interest from the continent for Beto, Nottingham Forest and Sean Dyche have been told Dwight McNeil is not for sale and reports of an Aznou loan in Europe also abound. Doubt more than one of those three moves happen today, especially with how sparse Moyes’ squad is.
