Good Tuesday morning, Purple Row!
Colorado Rockies fans probably associate “Fishin’ in the Dark” with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and TJ Rumfield, the Gold Glove finalist who has selected the classic hit for his walk-up music.
But with the World Series headed to Game 4 down in Tampa Bay, which has actual fish onsite, it seems appropriate to turn our attention there. And in this scenario, the Milwaukee Brewers, with a 3-0 lead, are definitely doing the fishing.
Last night, the Brew Crew delivered an absolute
pummeling of the Tampa Bay Rays with a 10-1 blowout — and don’t overlook two scoreless innings from former Rockies pitcher Antonio Senzatela.
Tonight may be the end of the 2026 MLB season.
Tune in tonight to find out.
In the meantime, here’s today’s news.

Ranking the five MLB teams that have never won a World Series: Who’s next? | USA Today

MLB’s salary cap plan doesn’t fix baseball. Here’s why | Mile High Territory
Ryan Spilborghs goes solo in this episode, and it’s worth your time. Seriously, if you don’t click on any other link, click on this one. In it, he views the proposed salary cap from the owners’ perspective and argues that it does not work; rather, a cap would shuffle money around. Spilborghs is clear, though: He’s on the side of neither the owners nor the players. Rather, he’s advocating for baseball.

Musical outro
And with that, I’ll turn it over to the Dirt Band.
Myself, I prefer “You Ain’t Going Nowhere,” but that’s probably a bad choice for walk-up music, so I’ll defer to TJ on this one.
