Moses Itauma once again looked like the future of boxing’s heavyweight division, and even the future of boxing entirely, as he scored a highlight reel knockout over the durable veteran Jermaine Franklin today in Manchester, England.
Itauma (14-0, 12 KO) once again looked sharp, fast, skilled, and devastating, dispatching Franklin (24-3, 15 KO) in the fifth round on a vicious left uppercut, which had the American veteran out on his feet before a follow-up shot even came in.
And that follow-up shot was
so quick it’s hard to even see it landing in real time, but it did land.
It’s a brutal knockout, the timing, speed, and accuracy of the shot are incredible, and it’s so easy to see why Itauma has received this level of hype. If you watch the full fight, you see even more evidence. This is not a “highlights” guy, everything he does is impressive so far.
