The Seattle Seahawks, still feeling the sting of the 33-31 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 3 are set to host Jim Harbaugh and the winless Los Angeles Chargers at Lumen Field in Week 4.
Seattle is set to have safety Julian Love in action after the Pro Bowl safety missed Week 3, and while Ty Okada practiced Friday, he was still listed as questionable.
That left the Seahawks secondary in better position than it was ahead of Week 3, but with rookie running back Jadarian Price out for at least
a month with a chest injury, the backfield on the offensive side was set to be shorthanded.
Thus, on Saturday general manager John Schneider turned to the practice squad for added depth at running back ahead of the Week 4 contest against the Chargers.
Velus Jones has been signed to the active roster, having had just one elevation left from the practice squad. Jones was a third round pick of the Chicago Bears in the 2022 NFL Draft, however, he has seen the field primarily on special teams for the Seahawks during his time in Seattle, having played just seven snaps on offense during the 2025 season and none so far this season.
Meanwhile, the Seahawks elevated veteran cornerback Trevon Diggs and safety Maxen Hook from the practice squad. Diggs signed with Seattle during preseason and recorded an interception in his lone August appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs. Hook has his second elevation after playing only special teams last week, and could be a hedge against Ty Okada’s availability after Okada was upgraded to questionable with a hamstring injury.
