There’s a big college football weekend on deck, and it’s likely going to be wildly different for fans to watch the games as Disney has pulled ABC, ESPN, and Disney off of YouTube TV.
Over the years, fans
have grown acustomed to media contract negotiations happening during football season, and this year is no different. Notre Dame VS Boston College is one of those games on ESPN this week (3:30) so if you have YouTube TV, you’ll need to find a different outlet to watch the Irish play football on Saturday.
I’ll leave it to you to find the proper provider; but Hulu, FUBO, Sling, and others still have ESPN as a part of their lineup. You could also just go to your favorite local watering hole (presumably) and watch the game with a bunch of strangers if that’s your cup of tea.
In my opinion, however, I think the liklihood of a deal being reached before Saturday afternoon is still very possible. Live sports are the big money driver with advertising dollars, and these type of things generally work out despite the scares.
