Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Valencia’s Javi Guerra this summer
and have already made “first contact” regarding a potential transfer. There was speculation earlier this week that Deco had met Guerra’s agent for talks and it’s now being claimed Barcelona do want the Spain star this summer.
An update from Cope claims that “Hansi Flick sees him as a very interesting player to add for next season” and that Barca’s interest “goes beyond a simple transfer rumor.”
Valencia have claimed previously
that Guerra is not for sale but he does have a release clause which is set at €40 million for July and then rises to €60m.
News of Barcelona’s interest in Guerra does come as something of a surprise given the club’s priorities seem to be to finding a replacement for Robert Lewandowski and then potentially strengthening the defence.
What do you think of Guerra? Would he be a good signing for Barcelona or is it hard to see where he fits? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
