The Baltimore Ravens came into their Thursday night matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars with low expectations – which they met. Undrafted rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano managed just 60 passing yards on a clearly-injured ankle, and the Ravens’ defense allowed far too many explosive plays through the air. Here are Baltimore Beatdown’s instant reactions to the 33-10 defeat:

I don’t even know what to say or do at this point. We all knew this game had the potential to get ugly but I don’t think any of
us had pictured exactly this ugly. I dont know where the Ravens go for here but there’s still eight more games to go. This product was unwatchable so as much as I hate investing more capital into the 2026 Ravens, the Jacoby Brissett trade seems necessary, just for the fact so the weapons on the outside don’t look as miserable as they did tonight. I don’t think I saw Zay Flowers smile once.
At lot of questions need to be answered, but that won’t happen till this offseason. Until then, we trudge on and survive. Hopefully they’ll sell a few pieces at the deadline and kickstart the process.

I’ve lived through some dark times as a fan of this team, but it’s been a while since I’ve felt this way. Maybe since the Super Bowl hangover when they lost a lot of pieces of the title team, but this iteration hints at some dark days to come with all of the bloated contracts and none of the payoff of having won a title. They should absolutely sell at the deadline. They need a hard reset on the roster and whatever it takes to shift the broken mentality of this group, especially that defense.
My thoughts are with Jacoby Brissett. I just hope he goes out there and has some fun playing ball.

Rock bottom. Everything that could have gone wrong did. The players plaguing the team with mistakes week after week kept doing so. The few standout players this year struggled today, adding insult to injury. The offense was putrid. Declan Doyle didn’t trust Joey Fagnano to push the ball at all, which is an even bigger statement on the state of a fully healthy offensive line. The defense continued to show a lack of effort. I wonder how Marlon Humphrey will blame the fans this time. Jacoby Brissett is definitely better than Fagnano, but not enough to make up for this woefully underperforming roster. Jacksonville is a great team, but they didn’t need to look like one to win convincingly tonight. Hopefully, the Ravens can show up for the occasion under the lights in Week 10 against the worst team in the league. But, man, I am struggling to find any reason to be excited for that game.

There really isn’t too much to say about this team right now. This simply isn’t a good enough roster, especially without Lamar Jackson at quarterback. An undrafted rookie quarterback never had a chance in this situation on a short week, dealing with an ankle injury on top of everything else. Too many of the Ravens’ top-paid players and veterans continue to underperform, whether it’s Marlon Humphrey giving up a massive completion on the first drive, Mark Andrews fumbling a direct snap on fourth down or he and Ronnie Stanley both having their weekly false starts. Baltimore just needs to get through this season and gut this roster in the offseason. Jackson potentially returning at some point this season almost feels pointless, because even he would have a hard time putting this team over the hump if they somehow, against all odds, made a playoff push. I want to give Jesse Minter a full offseason to try and get his guys in the building to rebuild the defense, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit that he has been extremely disappointing so far.
