Benn scoring to the body at will, Eubank looks confused as to how to deal with it. Benn sneaks in a couple of punches in the clinch. Benn swings big and misses big. Jab from Eubank. Benn with a straight right to the body. He jabs through Eubank’s defense, Eubank answers with a left hook. Eubank trips coming forward and ducking in to Benn. He looks a step slow tonight.

More grappling, referee lets them work out of it as much as he can but he has to intervene. Rapid exchange of punches. Neither man committing to much in this round. Eubank with a left hook to the body, which draws a smile from Benn. Jab by Benn. Right hand from Benn gets in. Right hand body shot scores for Benn. He’s making Eubank miss.

Early clinch initiated by Eubank. Not clear what the game plan is here. Eubank starting to flick his jab out, and he’s connecting. Uppercut from Benn in the clinch. Benn lands another jab. They trade jabs with Eubank taking a step back. Jabs traded. Benn with a pair of clean ones. They trade punches and Eubank smiles at Benn.

Both fighters swinging wild, looking for a big shot. Benn pushes Eubank’s head down and he just kind of stumbles to the mat. Weird performance overall by Eubank. Benn lands a right hand. Commentary notes Eubank was slow to get off his stool and Benn definitely noticed as he is right in Eubank’s face. Eubank with a counter, but Benn stays on him throwing power punches. Benn rushes in with body shots. Eubank unleashes a couple of big punches, but they don’t land. Benn rips the body once more. He’s working that area over effectively. These body shots can’t be helping whatever issues Eubank is having. Clean 1-2 from Benn and that hurt Eubank. Eubank throws back and Benn is loving this.

Benn immediately on the hunt. Eubank working to not get cornered. Jabs from Benn. Benn sticking with jabs and body work, Eubank offering only the most rudimentary defense. Benn with another jab to the body. Straight right, left hook land for Benn. Benn picking apart a cornered Eubank. Jab over the top scores for Benn. Eubank lads a body shot, but Benn clinches up with him to stop that momentum shift. Eubank coming on strong with 15 seconds left. Too little, too late.

Eubank comes forward and Benn just throws him down, which gets a reaction from the crowd.

Eubank meeting Benn in the middle, but not committing to any punches. He lands a left hook. They tie up along the ropes. Glancing right from Benn. A Benn jab scores. Nice advancing jab by Eubank. Benn times a jab perfectly. He pops Eubank coming in. Benn zings in a right hand and Eubank’s equilibrium goes out the window, he stumbles back for the knockdown. A little over 30 seconds left for Benn to capitalize and get a finish. Eubank just grabbing on to Benn to stop the flurry. Benn on the hunt. Overhand right clobbers Eubank and he goes down again. Eubank back up, not enough time for Benn to finish, but that was about as big an exclamation point as he could put on this rematch. And maybe the rivalry itself.
