Raw airs tonight (Mar. 16) with a live show from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the third episode of Raw during the seven week build to WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18 and 19.
Roman Reigns finally responds to CM Punk’s low blow about his dead father
It was two weeks ago when World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk went low by saying he will bury Roman Reigns next to his dead father Sika after he wins their match at WrestleMania 42. This capped off a promo where Punk emphasized that the Tribal Chief is all by himself and no longer has a tribe
to lead, and more importantly, no longer has any family henchmen around to help him win matches and championships in WWE.
Reigns is a part-timer, so he responded by…not showing up on Raw last week. Instead, it was Jimmy and Jey Uso who got in Punk’s face and demanded an apology for disrespecting their family like that. Punk is a dick who turned it into a whole thing about how Roman Reigns never had to apologize for gaslighting The Usos and treating them like shit for years. Jey and Jimmy Uso insisted this had nothing to do with Roman, and they knocked CM on his ass with a punch.
Roman is back on Raw tonight, where he will presumably address any and all of these events. If Punk happens to also be in the building to confront Reigns for another promo battle, the champ will surely bring up how Roman once again needs his family to do his fighting for him, because he knows he can’t beat Punk and win the title by himself at WrestleMania.
Will Roman try to get out in front of that narrative by confronting The Usos earlier in the night to tell them to stay out of his business this time? Is it Roman’s turn to demand an apology from Punk, or will he go just as low as CM did by talking shit about his dead dog Larry? Is there a chance that Roman wants to skip all the talking tonight and will instead use his fists to respond to Punk’s remark about his dead father?

Brock Lesnar returns to Raw tonight, but Paul Heyman might not be by his side after what happened two weeks ago when he was stomped by Seth Rollins and kidnapped by LA Knight. Will Lesnar call out one or both of them to face him at WrestleMania 42, or is this the night where Oba Femi interrupts The Beast to answer his open challenge for WWE’s biggest show of the year? WWE can’t let the question of who Brock is facing at ‘Mania linger beyond tonight, right?
Women’s Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee defends her belt tonight against fellow babyface Bayley. After AJ retains the title, will Becky Lynch ambush the champ to set up a rematch at WrestleMania 42?
El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano is also booked on Raw. Does El Grande Original have any chance to win after he was cursed by Danhausen last week? Can he get Danhausen to curse the other El Grande Americano before this match begins? Does the Original Americano have any friends around to neutralize the numbers advantage of Rayo and Bravo Americano?
Maxxine Dupri returned to Raw and attacked Nattie last week, and now they have a rematch tonight. Can Maxxine survive for more than a couple of minutes this time before she is decimated?
Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez in a non-title match is also scheduled for Raw. Will this whole thing turn out to be a trap for the Judgment Day to attack and possibly injure Vaquer ahead of WrestleMania 42? Or will Raquel once again tell Liv Morgan to stay in the back so she can try beating Stephanie by herself?
Speaking of the Judgment Day, the group will be on hand to address last week’s decision to kick out Finn Balor. Will Balor find a way to crash the party to put a beating JD McDonagh and that little shithead Dominik Mysterio?
Other stuff to keep an eye on
– The Vision couldn’t get their hands on Seth Rollins last week thanks to his little trick of hiding among his army of masked men. Will Logan Paul or Austin Theory find a way to disguise themselves among Seth’s army this time so they can get the drop on him?
– How much longer will Kairi Sane put up with Asuka’s abuse before she slaps the shit out of her? Is there anything IYO SKY can say to help Kairi realize what she has to do?
– Has Je’Von Evans made a decision about Kofi Kingston’s offer to join the New Day?
– Who is WWE lining up to face Intercontinental Champion Penta at WrestleMania 42? Could this be where WWE books six to eight wrestlers in a wild ladder match for the gold?
– Is there any old guy hanging around whose career can be killed by GUNTHER at WrestleMania 42? What about Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio? It happens to be 3:16 day, so maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin will have to return to Raw to give the Ring General a stunner.
