With the 2025 season drawing near, the final 10 players in the NFL Top 100 were revealed on Monday evening.
The man in the No. 1 spot was none other than Saquon Barkley.
This honor is fitting because no one player stands out more as the face of the 2024 season.
Barkley turned in the best running back season in NFL history. He broke the NFL’s single-season rushing record (including
playoffs) that was previously held by Terrell Davis en route to winning a Super Bowl.
Offensive Player of the Year is nothing to sneeze at but Barkley really should’ve been awarded MVP. That much should be apparent when you hear how his fellow NFL players speak about him with so much reverence.
It’ll be very interesting to see how Barkley follows up his 2024 campaign. Though history is not on his side, I’d be wary about doubting his ability to become the first player in NFL history with back-to-back 2,000 rushing seasons.
