Joe Brady is three games into his NFL head-coaching career, and he still hasn’t lost one.
The Buffalo Bills beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-16 on Sunday, improving to 3-0 under Brady and putting their new head coach in some pretty exclusive company in the process.
At 37 years old, Brady became the fifth-youngest head coach in NFL history to begin his career with three straight wins. Only Josh McDaniels, John Madden, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin were younger when they started 3-0.

were both 33 when they reached the mark, while Cowher and Tomlin were 35.
Brady had already made a little franchise history one week earlier. Buffalo’s win over Detroit made him the first head coach in Bills history to win each of his first two regular-season games at the helm. Sunday’s win pushed the streak to three and moved the accomplishment beyond the Buffalo record book.
Brady turned 37 on Wednesday, making him the youngest active head coach in the NFL. According to Bills PR, he is also the second-youngest head coach or manager across the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL, behind only 34-year-old Washington Nationals manager Blake Butera.
Brady took over as Buffalo’s head coach after spending the previous two-plus seasons running the Bills’ offense, first as interim offensive coordinator during the 2023 season and then in the permanent role.
Now, three games into his first head-coaching job, Brady has three wins. That means his usual postgame message needs another update.
